It's the end of June and time for Swedish 'Midsommar' - an old tradition were we celebrate "the period of time centered upon summer solstice". On midsummer's eve it (almost) never get's dark and from now on our nights will get darker here...
We got invited to Öland, an island in the south of Sweden. It's a car drive of 6 hours from Stockholm. Me, Philip, Sebastian, Carro and Lotta prepared for a nice little road trip to meet up with 16 other friends at our Johan's parents place.
Johan's parents grew their own strawberries!
Me and Philip went for a little walk to get flowers for our 'midsummer crowns'. It says, in Swedish culture, that these crowns need seven different kinds of flowers. Then you are supposed to put these underneath your pillow and you might dream about your prince.... we didn't do that but found all flowers needed :)
Philip was feeling great in this ocean of grass and flowers.
Time to make our crowns! I hadn't made these for a loooooong time, but together we figured out how and managed to make four flower bombs!
This place is beautiful. In Stockholm the weather was really bad, but here sun was shining! I'd love to have a small house here someday, like my Öland-retreat.
Wooow what a beautiful summer house! It almost feels like you can smell the flowers and summer through the screen! This is defnitely my summer inspiration!
SvaraRaderaOh thank you sweetie! You would have loved it too!!!
