The sunshine of my life

Tadaaaa! My friend Johan gave me a bucket of yellow paint on my moving-in-party. I love it :) I'm thinking of adding a quote somewhere, but not written in black... maybe red? This bench will be the one and only flower power bench!

Bohemian overload

Marie and I went to the café "Gildas" for breakfast the other day - one of few places in Stockholm that allows their costumers to bring their dogs. It's a cozy little café located at Nytorget, Södermalm, with colorful interior. Bohemian style is awesome!

Yummy overdose!
Marie drank her coffee from her coffeecup.. keeps it warm!

Svea looks worried :)

My hair. I woke up like this haha! The café reminded me of some places in Hamburg and Amsterdam... fucked up sofas and a mishmash of things. I like that!!!

When my brother turned into a sheikh

My brother Martin, my sister and my mother met up at a cozy Lebanese restaurant to celebrate Martins birthday. My mother was born in Beirut so when the restaurant offered us to try these hats we could not resist! And like mom said, Martin actually looks a bit like a sheikh.... or does he? Haha!

May the tabbouleh be with us!

Breakie with Philastian

Philastian came for breakfast (Philastian = Philip & Sebastian). We're almost neighbors :) Sebastian had baked awesome scones and brought jam, butter, cheese and creme cheese yeeeeeeah! They almost love Alfred more than I do haha! I'll probably see them waiting outside my door for breakfast every morning...

Breakfast time! Again, I had to make my awesome smoothies. Like Cornelia the guys loved it and wow.. Sebastian scones were really good!!!

Philastian have officially chosen the hashtag for Alfred #sandypåalfred (sandyonalfred).. sounds kinky but it's true :)

Golden hair and green coats

What a match! My coat (darling coat) fits perfectly well to the colors of Alfred. Stockholm offers some really sunny weather at the moment and I do hope it'll last. The early winter one week ago made me panic a bit, but now this city is a wonderful place to be in!

PS. Also love my fireplace. This winters rescue...

Banan pancakes 4life

Sweatheart Cornelia!

My sister and I had a sleepover on the boat were we had a good dinner together and the most awesome breakfast: banana pancakes!

For two people:
- 1 banana
- 4 eggs
- A bit of salt and cinnamon

I also added some:
- Cornmeal
- Milk

I'd start with mashing the banana and then just mix it all together in a bowl. Use a pan with butter or olive oil. If you want to add cornmeal and milk the amount depends on how many pancakes you'd like. Most important is that the dough is thick enough to not "break" in your pan, so don't overdo it with the milk... Otherwise you'll get German Kaiserschmarrn :)

I also did some blueberry smoothie: 1 banana, handful blueberry's, some lactose free milk, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, raw chia seeds and on top I added some roasted coconut and almonds.

A gluten free and lactose free breakfast! The best thing; you feel really good and satisfied.. no heavy stomach or getting hungry two hours later.

The images with my sister in the top are a year old, from one of our walks together :* A year goes so fast! Unbelieveble... anyway. I love you Cornelia!

Kids on a boat

My friend Tove and her daughter Ingrid came to Alfred for some cake and coffee :) I haven't seen Tove for two years and now she's got lovely little Ingrid. And Stockholm is going crazy right now. All warm and sunny, I love it!

Life on a houseboat might not be the ideal place for a kid... this day was fine but other days when big ferries pass by you must hold on tight haha.

Think I'll keep this one.

Me and Ingrid talking about boats and dogs passing by. 'Båt' (boat) is one of few words one year old Ingrid knows!

Ingrid was the sweetest! And it was so nice to finally meet Tove, she's an awesome person. We took a walk around 'Långholmen' - a small island close to Alfred. Stockholm is really build on islands, pretty cool :)

Hello, M/S Alfred

This weekend I celebrated having moved to Alfred with family and friends. It was great and people came by al day long to say hello. Also, three dogs came to visit and they seemed to love everyone. Especially the shoulder of Pia haha!

Next time I'll make all my neighbors have BBQs as well so that we together create the first ever stockholm-houseboat-street-festival!

I had made three different salads; one with broccoli & carrot, one with red beat & chickpeas and one based on couscous with veggies. AND a super big bowl of tzatziki :) Per and Johan were very pleased of their grilled corn..

I really look forward to all the amazing sunsets I'll watch from here. Or in the morning, having a coffee while breathing in sunrise. My friends Philastian live really close and they said they're up for breakfast with buns and baked bread every weekend!!! Oh you're more than welcome, Philastian!

The best view in Stockholm! Me, Susanna, Louise and Gustav were doing titanic acrobatics version 2.0. More to come, yey!

On a boat - welcome to Alfred

Ahoy people! I just moved to 'Alfred' - a houseboat located on Söder Mälarstrand, Stockholm. The whole waterfront is like a street of houseboats plus a couple of hostels, but they are further "down the road" :)

Marie and doggy Svea came for a visit. Happily Svea was really calm... well by now she knows who I am (new people can be scary) and even though the boat sometimes rocks from side to side (especially when other boats pass by) she felt at home.

Breakfast in the making!

Whooooaaa! Iove my new smoothie mixer! It's got just the size I need "to go" and is easily cleaned. Oh I love smoothies so much, they are my favorite breakfast meals (let me know if you need some smoothie inspiration!).

My grandmother, a handmade dry point etching and a polaroid of me together with my friend Karin. All put together in a PhotoBlock, birch.

Just got these wonderful flowers yesterday and they make the boat look so nice. I hope to cover all Alfred in flowers, wow! Still need to paint the floor though with new green color as there are spots of white and red color all over.

Marie enjoys the best view in Stockholm!

My neighbors :)

The bottom floor. I look forward to make a cosy little fire here! The suitcases are old memories from flea markets. So happy I've kept them as they've been around for so many years.

I got this beautiful carpet as a gift from my mother who lived in Istanbul for a couple of years.

Simone, the owner of Alfred and my awesome friend, made these great clothing racks.

That's it for now! It's been a great first week on Alfred, more pictures to come I promise you.

This little quote from a Swedish actor is really nice, he says: "All people have got their own story to tell, the one about life. No matter how that life looked like".
