Soul or nothing!

Living the dream

Marie calls doggy Svea "mys-korv" which sort of means "cuddly- sausage" haha. She is!!! Svea wants to be wherever there is someone giving her "gos" (good Swedish word by the way, like the word "mysigt" there is no perfect translation.. maybe "cosy"). 

Me and Marie had our first BBQ together in her house :) We had fish and veggies, along with grilled corn of course! And Austrian beer with taste of lemon... Yum. 

It's sooo hot in Stockholm right now. Feels like being in Greec weeeei. Awesomeness! I look forward to visit Marie and Svea this summer, loads of BBQs coming up #ntch #ntch

We're also planning to repaint her living room.. baby blue! 

Yes, Finland has got soul!!!!

Tuesdays show of GroovyTracks was a Scandinavian Soul special with guest Sami Tammela! 
He is a producer-keyboardist based in Helsinki, Finland. Together with vocalist Linda Ilves he creates Oaklyn. Me and Andy saw them perform live in Helsinki some weeks ago!We played some soulful beats together, as well as talking about his work with Race Horse Company and their show 'Super Sunday' - acrobatic circus on an extreme level! Right now on tour in Stockholm and Subtopia, Hangaren.I saw their show last weekend and had a great time :) Awesome show!!!

Fatima has got soul!

Me & Andy went to Debaser Strand, Stockholm, to see Swedish soul artist Fatima perform with her new album 'Yellow Memories' and The Eglo Live Band. My friend Camila joined us and took all these amazing photos, thank you sweetheart!

Soulful greetings

It's been a great week with loads of soulful radio and music. Had a fantastic meeting with Andy and Theo for scandinaviansoul.com and we've got some juicy things coming up! So watch out for that :)

My advice this weekend: music. Listen to DJ Rich Chocolate, a friend of the Scandinavian Soul team. He came with us to Helsinki to and loves the music as well!!! Great guy, with a great show to. He's on live for two hours every Thursday on Tropical.fm and his show Soulvation Radio Show. You must listen!

Welcome to the jungle!

My friend Johanna from Gothenburg came to Stockholm and we had some breakfast this morning at Il Café, next to this wonderful little shop. It felt like going into a jungle - so green and sooooo fresh. Jungle is the new white! No more empty white walls with just a framed picture all alone, Stockholm has had enough of that haha. 

Anyway it was really nice to meet Johanna again, we haven't seen each other for a long time. A lot of talking and coffee.. Also I'm going to Gothenburg in the end of May :) See you soon Johanna!

13/5: Groovytracks

My little sister Cornelia came to the studio and sat there for almost the whole show. I'm glad she enjoys soul music, because only Justin Bieber would have been a total disaster!!! Haha! Listen to the podcast on soundcloud.com/radioskanstull.

These mood-boards were made to summarize inspiration! Hopefully they will lead to a nice little arty project :) Keep an eye on this blog! Thank you Elin who made previous boards with round images, I loved the idea! Mine almost look as good as yours hihi. Also, I'm amazed by my friend Jules in Hamburg who runs a really nice vintage shop called 'White Buffalo Vintage'. The images taken are just amazing and I had to use one in my mood-boards (see top left corner on first image). Lovely! 

6/5: GroovyTracks special guest Anders Hansson!

My last show is now uploaded on soundcloud :) I got visited by Anders Hansson, aka Lillis, who often plays with the guys at Club Soul, Fasching. He brought his favorite rare soul grooves and we had so much fun!!! He's been buying soul records for decades, haha! Just love the engagement for this music, it's awesome. 

Can't wait until next Tuesday for more grooves. Me and Anders also talked about playing an evening only with music. Keep an eye out for soulfulness ;)

So many dinners at philastians place

Dinner at Philastians place! We got asparagus, cold potato-salad and smoked salmon. It was the perfect combination; good summer-food even though it was freezing cold outside as I went home... I like the blue color in their dining room too :) One of first not going for  all-needs-to-be-white!

New item on Etsy

Finally something new on etsy! I've made another pot coaster as I'll be at "Herrängens Vårmarknad", which is an annual market (Spring time) close to Stockholm city. 

Hopefully it's going to be good weather, as it snowed (!) some today.... wtf!!!
