Scandinavian Soul Award Night 2014

Such a lovely evening! I am so proud and happy to be part of Scandinaviansoul.com. The first ever Scandinavian Soul Award Night at Katalin, Uppsala, yesterday evening was amazing. We had live performances by Nordic artists Tanya, Marianne Da Cruz, Kristin Amparo & Chris Cook. Thanks to everyone for all the love, support and help. This and the fantastic Scandinavian Soul music/artists will make this grow bigger. Spread the soul and like us on Facebook :-)

Two new items on etsy

Another quote from the Ashram, New Zealand! This quote became sort of a personal mantra and I think it tells us loads about how we live today. I sometimes feel like I do things to fast and can't keep up with anything. The only person to slow things down is me... Working on this all the time.

Meanwhile I read inspirational things like this quote to get reminded.

Finally more glass coasters! I've had the oak version up for some time now and only have one package left. It takes awfully long time for wood to dry. So I'm really happy to offer you this lovely pack of juniper wood. Buy them in my shop :)

Give me more dumplings please!

Dumplings! I've never been a big fan of dumplings but must say I'm converted now. They taste so good! Had a couple with chicken. Titti and I met after some swimming/gym and really needed to reload with energy. Also love the mug with pink lid. Such great design and makes it look very desirable haha!

New item on etsy - Nelson Mandela quote

This is one of my favorite quotes by Nelson Mandela, from 1994, about our fears. It was up on a wall in the bathroom of the Ashram where I lived for three months, New Zealand. As I read it each day it became sort of a "mantra". Now I've made a Drypoint Etching with this quote of wisdom for you to buy and hang up on your wall. Or give a way for someone else to read and learn.

The best musical ever!

The best music, the best costumes and the best company! Me and my mom went to see the musical of Priscilla - Queen of the Desert at a venue in Stockholm called Göta Lejon. It's based on the movie with the original title "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" from 1994. Awesome movie - a must see! I tried to convince my mother that we should go out dancing and she almost said yes haha. This music makes me so happy and we both sang and danced in our chairs :)

Groovy Tracks - Podcast #4

On tonights show my dear friend Susanna joined me to talk about soul, memories and future plans! She's a true soulmate and it's been with her that I really discovered soul :) I just uploaded podcast number four of Groovy Tracks. A show filled with soul influenced by disco, dancing and laughing - spread the soul friends!

New item on Etsy! Another candle holder now made out of Swedish Elm. Each candle holder includes a golden metal case and a lovely wooden smell. Sandy aka "lumberjackwoman" gathers the wood herself from a forrest outside of Stockholm haha. A cute little gift to give away :)

Party at Agnes & Axel

The theme: 90s. Dinner on a "primary school disco" in Sweden: sausage with mustard and ketchup. They served "meaty" sausages and a vegan version. Looks like art, the plate of sausages haha!

In the 90s we listened a lot to Spice Girls. Here my and host Agnes pose (try to pose) like Mel B. and the rest of this historical group. Notice my necklace - original stuff. 

How to do it like a pro! A wall of inspiration :)

In their toilette all guests could do a "gnuggis". These sticker-tattoos you normally got when you've visited the dentist or doctor.

I love to swim. See the obvious connection between my hobby and my new tattoo. Also I love the bracelet made of candy!!! So 90s.

Another classic 90s thing: the gum. Often "hubba bubba" with taste of strawberry. Agnes is trying hard while I try to capture this magical gum-moment with my canon.
